Welcome to the blog for Mystery Supply Co. As outlined on the About page, I've been running Mystery Supply Co. as a passion project for a couple years. I finally got around to setting up a website where I can write about the things I'm working on - from replicas of old horror and sci-fi movie posters, to other products, to YouTube videos.

At heart, I'm just a kid who loves remembering fall days in the late 70's and early 80's of my youth.

Restoring Vintage Artwork

Mystery Supply Co. allows me to use my skills with apps like Photoshop. I carefully clean up and digitally restore old comic book covers and artwork, and vintage horror and sci-fi movie posters.

I enlarge the images for poster size printing while taking great care to ensure they remain as sharp as possible. Restoration includes removing spots, wrinkles, folds, tears, and other blemishes while keeping the integrity of the artwork! Check out the before and after example below.

Creating YouTube Videos

In addition to using my graphic skills for images, I love learning how to use video applications like Final Cut Pro and Adobe After Effects to create videos for YouTube. I started by creating ambiance videos of old Scooby-Doo cartoons, using sound effects and music cues from the original series. Below is one of the more popular videos.

Because I love YouTube so much, I have plans for other types of video content. That might include movie and TV show recaps and reactions, or in-depth looks at old comics and movie posters.
